Pioneering deep sea transportation of rolling cargo

Our roro vessels can accommodate a wide variety of cargo including automobiles, trucks, mining and heavy equipment, out-of-gauge units and project cargo. If cargo does not roll by itself, we have the solution for that, using our rolltrailers to transport it on board the vessel.

Our main goal is to provide seamless and hassle-free ocean transportation services for your cargo, ensuring their timely arrival at intended locations around the world.

Equipment Handling
Höegh Autoliners’ fleet of rolltrailers are specially designed for smooth and safe transportation of breakbulk and project cargo.
By rolling cargo on board the vessel, it reduces the risk of damage compared to lifting it. Furthermore, stowing your cargo under the deck means no seawater will reach it during transportation, so you can rely on less costly packing solutions.
We can transport almost any type of cargo and our professional cargo operations team will find the most suitable equipment and way of handling your cargo safely on board our vessels.

Global network
Today, Höegh Autoliners operate eleven global deep-sea trades and engage in a shortsea service in the Caribbean. With more than 3,000 port calls annually, we offer our customers a global network of ports.
Underdeck stowage only
When transporting your cargo with us, you can be assured that it is safely stowed under deck. This means there is no risk of corrosion, which can be caused by saltwater. Most loading operations are also supervised by one of our Port Captains, who ensure that all cargo is safely and accurately driven and secured on board the vessel.
The New Horizon vessels
Höegh Autoliners operate a fleet of owned and long-term charter PCTCs with capacity ranging between 2,300 to 8,500 ceu. Over the last five years, our fleet has undergone a renewal, with many old vessels being phased out and new ones being built or chartered in.
The New Horizon roro vessel is Höegh Autoliners’ latest vessel model and the world’s largest PCTC with 14 decks, covering an area of 71,400 m² - the same area as 10 soccer fields - and a carrying capacity of 8,500 ceu. This new design provides more operational flexibility with a 375-tonne capacity stern ramp, 22-tonne capacity side ramp, 6.5-meter height on the main deck, and five hoistable decks.
Enhanced flexibility, larger capacity and optimised hull and energy efficiency reduce the vessel’s environmental impact and ensure better service to our customers.
The Aurora Class
The Aurora Class is set to become the industry's largest and most eco-friendly car carrier. It will mark a significant milestone as the first in the PCTC segment to be awarded DNV's notations for ammonia and methanol readiness.
